Art of the Leash Clip Contest

Sponsor

This contest ("Contest") is sponsored by Nitro K-9 LLC, located in Bothell, Washington ("Sponsor"). The Grand Prize and Second Place prizes are provided by The Hound & The Human, owned and operated by Bex Mare ("Artist"), as an independent contractor.

Eligibility

• Open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
• Open to past and current clients of Nitro K-9 LLC. Sponsor reserves the right to verify client status.
• Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of Sponsor and Artist are not eligible.
• Entrant must be the legal owner or authorized handler of the dog featured in the submitted video, and must have the right to grant Sponsor the usage rights described in Section 7.

Entry Period

The Contest begins Friday, July 24, 2026, and ends Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time (the "Entry Period"). Entries received outside this window will not be counted.

How to Enter

1. Record a video of your dog demonstrating a trained behavior or skill you learned training at Nitro K-9.
2. Post the video publicly on Instagram, tag @nitrok9 and use #NitroK9Giveaway, OR submit the video directly in the Nitro K-9 Telegram group with #NitroK9Giveaway.
3. No purchase, payment, referral, or booking is required to enter or win the Clip Contest.

Entry Limit: Maximum of three (3) video entries per household, per dog during the Entry Period. Entries submitted beyond this limit will not be considered.

Bonus Entries: An entrant whose video is selected by Sponsor to be featured/reposted on Sponsor's official channels during the Entry Period will automatically receive two (2) additional entries upon the first feature/repost into the Second Place random drawing described in Section 6. Future uses/reposts including the clips will not earn additional entries. Bonus entries do not apply to and cannot affect Grand Prize selection.

Prizes

No cash alternative will be offered. Prizes are non-transferable. All reference photographs proposed for use in either prize must be submitted to and approved by Artist prior to commencement of work; Artist reserves final discretion over composition and reference suitability.

Winner Selection

• Grand Prize: Selected by Sponsor and/or Artist based on subjective judging criteria including training quality, video clarity, and overall impression. This is a merit-based selection, not a random drawing.
• Second Place: Selected by random drawing from all eligible entries not selected for the Grand Prize, including any bonus entries earned under Section 4. Odds of winning Second Place depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
• Winners will be notified via direct message on the platform of entry and/or Telegram within five (5) business days of the drawing (on or about August 21, 2026). Winner must respond within seventy-two (72) hours of notification or the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

Use of Entry & Publicity

By submitting an entry, entrant grants Sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to repost, share, feature, and use the submitted video (and entrant's associated social media handle/username) across Sponsor's marketing channels, including as paid advertising, without additional compensation to entrant.

By accepting a prize, winner agrees to Sponsor's and Artist's reasonable use of winner's name, likeness, dog's likeness, and the finished artwork for promotional purposes.

General Conditions

• This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta (Instagram), TikTok, YouTube (Google), or Telegram. Entrants release these platforms from any liability associated with the Contest.
• Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates these rules, applicable platform terms of service, or contains inappropriate, offensive, or unsafe content (including content depicting animal mistreatment).
• Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failure, or any factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Contest.
• This Contest is void where prohibited by law.

Release & Limitation of Liability

By entering, entrants release Sponsor, Artist, and their respective owners, employees, and agents from any and all liability for claims, damages, or losses arising from participation in this Contest or acceptance/use of a prize, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Governing Law

This Contest and these rules are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

How to Enter

No-Purchase Referral Entry: Refer others to Nitro K-9. If the person(s) you refer fills out our sign up form on our website https://www.nitrocanine.com and identifies your name in the "How did you hear about us" section in the sign up form, you receive one (1) entry into the drawing. There is no cap on the number of referral entries an individual may earn for referrals.

No-Purchase Alternate Entry (AMOE): Entrants who do not wish to, or cannot make a referral may receive one (1) equivalent entry, by submitting a short written testimonial about their experience with Nitro K-9 via Google Reviews or emailed directly to admin@nitrocanine.com. This alternate method carries no purchase requirement and provides an equal chance of winning. In order to receive the entry you must notify the Sponsor in the private Telegram group using #nitrok9giveaway. If you do not notify us we cannot guarantee an accurate count of your entries.

No purchase, payment, or booking is necessary to enter or win any mode of entry.

Prize

One (1) custom black and grey hand drawn portrait OR one (1) full-color painting of winner and winner's dog, created by Artist. Approximate Retail Value: $500. No cash alternative. Prize is non-transferable.

Winner Selection

One (1) winner will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries (referral entries and alternate-method entries combined, weighted equally) on or about August 21, 2026. Winner will be notified via Telegram direct message within five (5) business days and must respond within seventy-two (72) hours or the prize may be forfeited.

General Conditions, Release & Governing Law

The general conditions, release of liability, publicity terms, and Washington governing law set out in Sections 7–10 of the Clip Contest rules above apply equally to this Referral Program Drawing.
